The De-Addiction Center at Government Medical College Hospital Tiruvallur is a 10 bedded facility offering both inpatient and outpatient care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders such as alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis.
Our model is currently adopted by the government.
- The De-Addiction Center at Government Medical College Hospital Tiruvallur, is our first independent project which is in collaboration with the Government of Tamil Nadu.
- It was inaugurated in January 2023 in the presence of Honorable Minister Mr. Nasser, Honorable MLA of Tiruvallur Mr. Rajendran, Honorable Tiruvallur Collector Dr. Alby John and the Dean of Tiruvallur Government Medical College Hospital Dr. Arasi.
- Treatment Approach includes detoxification, along with therapies such as 12-Step Recovery, Motivation Enhancement Therapy, CBT, Behavioral Activation, Yoga, Meditation, and Family Therapy.
- Quarterly home visits, employment support, and family interventions are provided; patients are also included in the Alcoholics Anonymous Group in Tiruvallur district.
