Home Again, a model developed by The Banyan and recognized by the World Health Organization, provides individuals living in institutions the opportunity to reintegrate into society and build meaningful connections.

In collaboration with The Banyan, the Menadora Foundation launched Home Again in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. Clients reside in rented homes within the community, with five individuals per house supported by a personal assistant.

This approach empowers them to manage their own households, seek employment, participate in leisure activities, and engage with the community—fostering independence, dignity, and self-reliance.

• In Home Again, individuals transition from institutional care to shared homes in the community, where they regain life skills, independence, and a sense of belonging.
• Vocational Training & Employment Programs in HA provides skill-building workshops in areas like cooking, housekeeping, and crafts, enabling individuals to find stable jobs or start small businesses.
• Residents collaborates with local employers to provide work opportunities, ensuring sustained income and financial security.
• HA establishes income-generating small jobs where recovered individuals work together, reinforcing teamwork and self-sufficiency.
• These efforts help individuals build confidence, financial stability, and a sense of purpose, breaking the cycle of institutionalization.
