Community Mental Health Program – Madurai in partnership with The Live Love Laugh Foundation

The Community Mental Health Program (CMHP) is a community-based initiative aimed at strengthening mental health services at the grassroots level by promoting early identification, treatment access, rehabilitation, and social inclusion for persons with mental illness.
As an initial phase, we are implementing the program in the Usilampatti and Thirumangalam blocks. The key objectives of the CMHP include:
- Identifying individuals with mental illness in the community and linking them to government mental health services.
- Ensuring treatment adherence through regular follow-ups to prevent relapses.
- Facilitating access to disability certificates and welfare benefits.
- Offering counseling and therapy services to persons with mental illness (PWMI)and their caregivers.
- Creating livelihood opportunities for PWMI.Conducting community awareness and sensitization programs.
