ECRC -Sholavaram is a 30 bedded facilty that offers multidisciplinary, person-centred hospital-based care for homeless people with mental health issues.

The Emergency Care and Recovery Center (ECRC) in Sholavaram, Tiruvallur District provides services for homeless persons with mental health issues by initiating acute care services at the district level, by offering psychiatric care, psychological therapy, skills and vocational training, family reintegration and aftercare -linking people with mental illness to social entitlements and social care services. Community sensitisation, engagement and social inclusion are additional goals.

Emergency Care and Recovery Centres offers comprehensive, transdisciplinary, human and rights-based services including critical time interventions, medical, psychiatric, psychological and social care services, as a well as rituals embedded in a philosophy of spiritual development and well-being resulting in social inclusion, participation and continued care services to arrest recurrence of homelessness and distress where possible.
